13.844millon yuan more was increased for farmers’ income

“Over 500more kilograms rice were yielded here per mu, which was 2 times of the ordinary hybridization rice of early season and 100kgs more than last year respectively. The total output value for every mu was 200yuan more than last year.” gladly said by Chen Gengbao who was a villager of Suxian district. It was learned that an expert group led by Chenzhou Agricultural Bureau investigated the demonstration area of super rice of early season rice in Nanxiang village, Xifengdu town, Suxian district recently and examined its expected yield as well. According to the results, the highest yield per mu was about 564kgs in its core demonstration area, while the average level was 554kgs which was 158kgs more than ordinary type’s capacity of 396kgs with an increase of 39.9%. Suxian district’s super rice of early season was kept to be increased for 7 consecutive years.

Introduction of agricultural science and increase of grain and people’s income were kept as the primary tasks by Suxian district in recent years. Some activities as on-site technological trainings with different measures were held by the agricultural technicians to teach the farmers with some agricultural technologies and promote them to use the technologies accordingly.

1018mu core demonstration area of super rice was built in Nanxiang village, Fengxidu town. Unified species, technological guidance and cultivation management were handled on this core demonstration area. Some key technologies concerned for the increase of yield as centralized rice seedling raising, enhanced modified cultivation techniques, wetting irrigation, formula fertilization, and etc. were implemented there. Assisted with the successful achievements of this core demonstration area, the 120,00mu super rice reached the yield capacity of 4.92million kilograms, which helped the farmers increase over 13.844million yuan income.
