Series report for Chenzhou city’s establishment of national civilized city

Li Bai- Chinese great poet said “soil helps to be wall, merit helps to rich the land”. That’s what Chenzhou people did recently- to rich the land with the civilization.

Upgrading the standards to handle establishment work

National civilized city which indicated a city’s power on overall strength, intrinsic charm and development vitality became “Chenzhou’s dream” from 2009 when it launched the activity to establishment work. As considered by Chenzhou people, to establish Chenzhou city as a national civilized city was an inevitable choice to reach the target of“better city, better life”
Chenzhou city accelerated its speed on the civilization construction. Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government decided to mobilize all Chenzhou people join in this establishment work and try all their efforts to reach the goal on the basis of further consolidation and expansion of establishment achievements.

The main line was very clear that it was purposely to promoting the establishment of national civilized city as a well-being project met people’s demands, a working style project to check cadres’abilities and a development project to optimize the investment condition. A powerful administrative impulse was formed to promote the establishment work.

The target was clear that it must be enrolled into the list of application for establishment of national civilized city. A joint mechanism involved city, district, sub-district, and community was set to handle the application work. Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City scheduled the establishment work personally.

Daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly supervision work was handled out regularly. The investigation team of the State Statistics Bureau would present an index evaluation for the level of civilization every month. Relative departments would handle out the rectification work accordingly.

The germ of civilization grew and developed well in Chenzhou city.

Upgrading of city’s level

When reporters met Mr. Liu at the night of August 26, he was cycling along the river channel of Ailian lake by public renting bike. Liu told to the reporters that “the environment became better and the daily life was more convenient as well.”

City’s development companied with the civilization, so Chenzhou city kept promoting the establishment of national civilized city, establishment of national sanitary city and city’s upgrading together, especially on the promotion of “three great projects” of transportation, ecology and support. Over 50billion yuan has been invested on the urban development from 2009. 

Chenzhou city’s comprehensive bearing capacity was improved greatly. Complete upgrading and transformation of the urban roads and backstreets was carried out in Chenzhou city. 101 roads were built and expanded in recent years which helped to enlarge the traffic grid of urban roads. At the meantime, 99.26% street lamps were lighted up. “Greening project” was promoted well which grant people with more leisure destinations to enjoy their free time in a more ecological environment.

Hardware, public infrastructure, living condition, road transportation, resident income, social insurance, and etc. were promoted greatly in Chenzhou that helped to make Chenzhou city to be more charming.

Upgrading of urban governance

“It is unexpectedly that Chenzhou city is so beautiful and local people’s spirituality is so nice. ” said A’xiang who visited Chenzhou city for the first time in the middle of this August. During her trip, her mobile phone was left on the taxi, but she got it back sooner after calling the phone on the receipt.

Civilization construction is the a process of the upgrading of a city’s civilization and people’s quality. Followed the standards of national civilization city, Chenzhou city carried out the establishment accordingly and try to meet all well.

Chenzhou launched the grid management model to popularize the civilization construction work in the whole city. The communities of Chenzhou urban area were divided into 498 management grids by 200-300 families with 800-1200 people. Every grid was dispatched a cadre to handle the overall work and a service team with the party members, team leaders, polices, and etc. was formed to carry out daily work.

The grid management was improved well in Chenzhou city. The departments worked together with the grids to handle the community work and helped to solve the problems more timely and efficiently.

It was approved that the establishment of national civilized city can only be fulfilled with the support of the people.

The dream of being national civilized city became the reclaimed energy of Chenzhou city, all Chenzhou people would keep fighting for it and try all best to promote it to become true.
