At 15:28, August 28, 2014, Mangshan tunnel which was the key and controlled project of Huangsha- Mangshan highway was cut-through. It laid solid foundation for the fulfillment of the highway.

The 1400meters long Mangshan tunnel was invested with 44million yuan, which would be facilitated with two lanes in both directions. It was the exclusive tunnel among all the highway projects which were under construction in Chenzhou city recently. Due to the restriction of terrain, complicated surrounding rocks and abundant water flow, the tunnel’s construction condition was much harder and was with much higher risk. The project was launched in last September. All the construction units strictly followed the regulations and requirements to handle all detailed work by solving many problems hindered on the way of project improvement. Scientific solutions were applied to promote its progress.

It was introduced by the construction party that once the tunnel was cut-through, it would be proceed to some other projects construction. The highway was estimated to be finished at the end of this December. Once finished, it would be greatly helpful to upgrade Mount Mang’s tourism effects, save the transportation cost and protect Mangshan’s ecological environment as well.
