Chenzhou Railway Port Becomes Inland Port of Guangzhou Port

It was reported that Chenzhou Government signed the strategic cooperation agreement on the construction of Chenzhou inland port with Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd., Hunan Xingyi Logistics Co., Ltd., and Haotong International Logistics Co., Ltd. on September 12, 2014. Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee presented at the signing ceremony. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City signed the agreement on behalf of Chenzhou Government.

 

According to the agreement, Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd. would hang the board written“Guangzhou port’s Chenzhou inland” on the gate of Chenzhou railway port in Chenzhou Huaishuxia. Some favorable policies on rates, service and operation would be granted to Chenzhou enterprises when they import and export the products from Guangzhou port. At the meantime, more finance logistics supports would be placed by Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd., when it undertakes the expansion services for Chenzhou city’s sea-railway combined transportation. It would work together with some commercial banks to provide the services as bonded warehousing or financing pledge for the concentrates, non-ferrous metal processing, graphite and other businesses handled by Chenzhou city’s manufacturers and logistics companies.

 

It was specified on the agreement, Xingyi logistics and Haotong company which were the famous logistics and transportation enterprises of Hunan province would surrender part of the profits to cultivate sea-railway combined transportation. Xingyi logistics would be in charge of the terminal operation by providing the fields, devices, and favorable rates of operation for the cooperation businesses. Haotong company would be in charge of the organization of goods for railway, coordination with railway department, customs clearance and shipment booking service, and door to door logistics service.

 

An inauguration ceremony for “Guangzhou port’s Chenzhou inland port” was held after the signing ceremony. At the meantime, the fast freight train from Chenzhou to Huangpu, Guangzhou which was with specified place, route, number, timing and price was placed to trial operation.

 

Chen Hong xian- Chairman of Guangzhou Port Group, Xu Shuangrong- Director of Hunan Provincial Ports Office, Jia Jinye- Vice Chairman of China Ports Association and Director of Guangzhou Ports Office, Yuan Yue- Deputy Director of Guangzhou Ports Business Bureau and Zhang Aiguo- one of the municipal leaders of Chenzhou city attended relative activities.
