Cooperatives Economy Association became the hottest word among the families in Yiliu town of Yizhang county recently. Till now, there were 15 rural professional cooperatives associations available in Yiliu town, covering 1820 families with over 45million yuan capitals. More than 4200 families were benefited from it.

On the basis of the industries as high grade rice, hybrid corn, pig, tropical fish, high quality fruit, seedling of osmanthus, tobacco, and etc., tens of professional cooperatives were established in Yiliu town with the guidance and support of local government. The models like “leading enterprise+ cooperatives+ farmer”, “cooperatives+ production base + farmer”, and some other ways were promoted in the county to carry out the regional layout, scaled operation and standardized production. 8 cultivation bases with annual slaughter capacity of over 60,000pcs were established in the town by pig cultivation professional cooperative

Along with the improvement of the agricultural professional cooperative economy, series green brands were established in Yiliu town. Take the cucumber produced in Shijietou village for example, assisted with the help of the professional cooperative, it was successfully promoted to Guangdong market, some chain stores as Wal-Mart, Chenzhou city and other places with a marketing price of 2 or 3 times of ordinary products. Tropical fish cultivation base which was operated by aquatic product cooperative association in Tanghuli village became the biggest special product cultivation base in Hunan province. It greatly helped to promote the optimization of Yiliu town’s aquatic products cultivation and the rate of special cultivation was over 80% there. Thanks to the mutual cooperation with professional cooperative and farmers, Yiliu town’s adjustment of agricultural structure was carried out energetically.
