Summary for Chenzhou city’s development of tourism products in recent years

 

Focusing on the target of establishing an international tourism brand as “city in the forest, leisure city”, Chenzhou tourism industry kept on integrating and developing tourism resources to develop the tourism products practically, which helped to promote a significant development of Chenzhou city’s tourism industry.

 

New places for leisure tourism

Besides the upgrading of traditional famous tourism landscapes, Chenzhou city placed more attention on developing more high quality landscapes, such as Feitianshan National Geological Park, Wangxianling tourism resort, Jiulaofeng landscape, Xiaobu Nanling ecological city, Anren Rice Field Park, and etc. which reached a win-win effect for local tourism industries. Fuquan villa, Reshui Tanghe landscape and some other hot spring tourism brands of Rucheng county attracted many visitors to enjoy their hot spring trips there, which helped to upgrade hot spring fitness and leisure tourism as one of the key tourism products of Chenzhou city. Guiyang Baoshan National Mine Park was the first mining tourism product of Hunan province. “Forest+ hot spring” which was the new experience for tourists made Mangshan landscape to be even hotter.

 

The 360°viewing platform established in Suxianling became a new attraction for all visitors. Yijing camping base which was newly launched in Doulv island of Dongjiang lake made people forget to return.

 

Festival tourism became another key content of Chenzhou tourism products. Anren Shennong culture festival & cole flower festival, Mangshan alpine azelea festival, Guidong alpine meadow music, beer and tent festival, and other annual ecological tourism festivals were promoted in Chenzhou city, which highly helped to popularize the fame of Chenzhou tourism and promote Chenzhou city’s development of tourism industry.

 

More classic travel routes are available

In order to attract more visitors, different measures were handled out in Chenzhou city to enrich the tourism products and discover more tourism products practically, which helped to make the landscapes with more colorful activities and travel routes. According to the data, 28.196million visitors were received by Chenzhou city in 2013, accounting for 19.409billion yuan tourism income. 7.838million were overnight visitors and 252,000 were inbound tourists.

 

It was introduced by Ou’yang Liang- General Manager of Chenzhou Wulianguan International Travel Agency, Guangzhou Branch that there was just a single travel route of Dongjiang lake and Mount Mang available, so most visitors chose 2-day travel plan in earlier days. But now, along with the development of high speed train, expressway and other transportation condition, more classic travel routes to Feitian mountain, Banliang ancient village, Guiyang Baoshan mine, and etc. were available, so more visitors chose to stay longer for their trips.
On learning the trend of “more individual visitors, less group visitors”, some changes were happened for Chenzhou tourism products. More leisure products as cycling, fishing, fruit picking, farm work, ecological rural inns, and etc. were promoted for rural tourism. Till now, 5 national leisure villas, 55 villas above Hunan provincial 3-star level, and 2 national leisure culture and rural tourism demonstrations were established in Chenzhou city.

 

Till now, landscape tourism represented by Dongjiang lake, natural ecological tourism represented by Mount Mang, red tourism represented by Guidong, hot spring leisure tourism represented by Rucheng hot spring, folk culture tourism represented by Banling ancient village, and different patterns of tourism were formed in Chenzhou city.

 

Colorful tourism products

What kind of tourism products you can buy after visiting Chenzhou city? “Four treasures of the blessing city” (Zixing Gounao Gong Cha, Zixing Dongjiang fish, Guiyang jar meat, and Linwu duck) were the most famous tourism products promoted in Chenzhou city in earlier time. Besides those, Yongxing silver products, Mangshan black tea, and other products became more popular in current days.

 

On the basis of abundant natural and cultural tourism resources, Chenzhou city paid great efforts to develop and popularize the tourism products and agricultural products with Chenzhou features. A tourism products pattern with the center of wholesale market and foundations of other market places, distributor stores and super markets was formed in Chenzhou city, which helped to promote Chenzhou city’s development of special tourism products and agricultural products.

 

Some local brands were developed in the counties and districts of Chenzhou city, which enriched the tourism products of Chenzhou city. Yongxing county’s silver products and Dabujiang patchwork, Guidong county’s Linglong tea, Anren county’s herbal medicine and Shengping rice, Jiahe county’s knifes and Danggang wine, Rucheng county’s dried salted duck, Mangshan’s bracken fern rick cake which was selected into “a bite of China 2” and other brands were well developed in Chenzhou city. Yuhou street, rare stone street, and other leisure traveling streets were built by integrating relative resources.
