It was reported a leading group conference for Dongjiang diversion project was held in Chenzhou city recently. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City hosted the conference, listened to the working report on the preliminary work and placed the arrangement on the project. Qu required that all departments should accelerate the preparation of the project scientifically and take active actions on joint work and service to ensure the project to be promoted on schedule.

Along with years proof especially the intense preparation from the beginning of this year, the approval of preliminary work has been almost finished and the capital collection work was handled out well that over 40 investors placed their interest on it and some financial institutions confirmed to issue the loans to support its construction.

A discussion concerned for the optimization of the design of intake was carried out on the conference. Followed the suggestions presented by Hunan Provincial Government, some sub-ordinate departments of Hunan province and some professional institutions, and the exploration data provided by sub-ordinate departments of Chenzhou government and some experts, the optimized design for intake was figured out on the conference and was preliminarily confirmed to start the construction at the end of this month.

Qu stated that Dongjiang diversion project was the annual key project confirmed by Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government in the beginning of this year. It was also one of the major well-being projects covered into the annual assessment of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Hunan Government, which was concerned for Chenzhou city’s overall work for keeping stable increase and upgrading people’s living condition. All the departments paid high attention on the project to work together and accelerate its preparation work well in earlier stage, which helped to promote it to be with the operation condition. Better work should be handled out together by all departments to accelerate its development in next step.

Qu emphasized that the preparation work on the starting of Dongjiang diversion project should be accelerated. Followed the ready working plan, time schedule and specified responsibility system, the preliminary work should be finished sooner to ensure the project to be launched at the end of this September on time. More optimized design solution and implementation solution should be figured out with specified requirement of the material of water pipes. Construction organization and capital collection work should be handled well. Service, construction and management work should be with best level to ensure the projects to be handled out with high quality and rapid progress. Furthermore, the protection of great Dongjiang lake should be enhanced by handling Dongjiang diversion project. Ladder-like water price solution should be discussed rapidly as well.

The scheduling and arrangement on the construction of the second and forth sewage treatment plants were figured out on the conference. Qu required that the work should be accelerated to be started in this October.
