It was reported that on September 29, 2014, a joint conference of production and research was held in Chenzhou city. It was purposely to promote the development of industrial transfer and forge ecological and green Chenzhou city with the assistance of technological innovation.

Focusing on the theme of "technological innovation, green environmental protection", the attendants presented their suggestions on breaking the resource-oriented development way of Chenzhou city and upgrading technological innovation capacity by production and research. Professor Chai Liyuan- Dean of Institute of Metallurgy and Environment of Central South University delivered a speech of "heavy metal pollution prevention and control technology, support Chenzhou city's 'two-oriented' development of non-ferrous metal industry" on the conference. It specified the development direction of the cooperation of production and research on heavy metal pollution prevention and control technology and improvement of ecological Chenzhou city. All the attendants enjoyed a technological feast on the conference.

An inaugurations ceremony for strategic alliance of rare metals industry's technological innovation was held on the conference as well. The representatives from Hunan Tengyu Non-ferrous Metal Co., Ltd. and other ten units signed an alliance agreement. Three companies as Chenzhou High-tech Innovation Incubator Co., Ltd., Hunan Jinwang Bismuth Industry Co., Ltd., and etc. signed a production and research cooperation agreement.

The principals and professors from Guangzhou University, Hunan Agriculture University, Hunan Normal University, South China Normal University, Xiangnan University, and etc., and some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city attended the conference.
