The data released by Chenzhou Statistic Bureau on Oct. 24, 2014 showed that Chenzhou City’s GDP hit 128.08billion yuan in first three quarters with an increase of 10.5% which was 3.1% and 1.3% higher than national and Hunan provincial average increase respectively. Its increase rate took the first place of Hunan province.

Li Riguang- Spokesman of Chenzhou Statistic Bureau and Team Leader of enterprises investigation team declared on the conference: “though under the complicated trend of higher economic downstream pressure, Chenzhou city’e economy was kept being operated stably.”

From the aspect of industries, in the first three quarters, the added value of first, secondary and tertiary industry were amounted to 14.87billion yuan, 66.32billion yuan and 46.89billion yuan, up 4.7%, 10.8% and 11.6% respectively.

Harvest of agricultural production

The seeded areas of Chenzhou city were up to 357.4 kilo hectares, up 4.4% , which granted the grain yield increase to be a foregone conclusion. The purchasing work on flue-cured tobacco was operated well that 0.898million loads have been fulfilled, covering 90.2% of the annual target. In the first three quarters, the stock of poultry was 14.495pieces while 21.159 pieces were out of steamer. 0.11million and 0.314million heads of cows and lambs were out steamer as well.

Industrial production was kept being operated stably

In the first three quarters, the total added value of all industries was amounted to 61.6billion yuan with an increase of 10.8%, contributing 55.6% to the increase of economy and driving 5.8% of the increase. The increase rate for scaled-industry was 11.45 which was 2.9% and 1.7% higher than national and Hunan provincial average level, ranking the third place of Hunan province. The increase rates for high-tech enterprises, high processing industry, strategic industry and device manufacturing industry were 43.2%, 23.4%, 20.7% and 31.9% separately. The increase for the value of new products was about 9.1%. The industrial parks’economy was handled well that the increase for added value of scaled industries of Hunan provincial and above level industrial parks was up to 13.6% which was 2.2% higher than Chenzhou city’s average level.

The performance of industrial enterprises turned to be better obviously

In the first eight months of 2014, total profits for the 1082 above scale enterprises were amounted to 9.44billion yuan, ranking the third place of Hunan province.The numbers of unprofitable firms were 67 which was 6 less than last year.

The service industry was promoted stably

In the first three quarters, the added value of service industry was amounted to 46.89billion yuan with an increase of 11.6%. Its contribution rate for the economy was about 39.9% and helped to drive 4.2% increase of GDP. Tourism industry was improved greatly that over 26.089 million visitors were received by Chenzhou city in the first nine months of 2014 and the total value of tourism hit 17.13billion yuan, up 18.6% and 22.7% respectively. Taking “national day holiday- golden week” for example, 3.068million visitors came to Chenzhou city and its total income reached 1.45billion yuan, up 21.1% and 26.5% separately.

“Three carriages” were with strong force

In the first three quarters, 130.72billion yuan has been finished on fixed-asset investment with an increase of 23.8%, ranking the second place of Hunan province on both total amount and increasing rate. Total retail sales of consumer goods were amounted to 50.91billion yuan with an increase of 12.9% which was ranking the third place of Hunan province.

Foreign trade was with great improvement

Total foreign trade value hit $3.3billion from this January to September, ranking the second place of Hunan province, while its increasing rate was up to 50%, ranking the forth place of Hunan province. $1.65billion of it was for export, up 39.5%. $2.49billion of it was for processing trade, ranking the first place of Hunan province.

The increasing rate for fiscal revenue was the same as Hunan provincial level

Concerned for the fiscal and financing operation, the public finance hit 16.31billion yuan with an increase of 7.7% which was the same as Hunan provincial level.

59,700 new jobs were for urban employment

Concerned for the improvement of well-being condition, 80% or more work has been finished for 66 projects of “100 well-being projects”; 59,700 new jobs were for urban employment, fulfilling 94.7% of annual task; Urban sewage treatment rate was 88.9% and urban house refuse disposal rate was 99.2%.

Over 25,900 market entities were newly registered

The achievements on overall deepening reform handled out in Chenzhou city were released by Chenzhou static departments on the press conference. Chenzhou city’s efficiency on comprehensive administrative examination and approval was increase 70% and over 25,900 market entities were newly registered from handling the commercial registration reform. 132 administrative approval items were decrease from implementing the reform of administrative approval mechanism, which was 57.4% less than earlier time.

Li Riguang stated that in the next stage, all departments of Chenzhou city should take active actions to adapt the new normal situation of economic development, pay closer attention on handling the economic development work scientifically and confidentially, and try best to fulfill the annual economic and social development targets on time.
