According to the data released on January 30, 2015, Chenzho’s GDP hit 187.26billion yuan in 2014 with an increase of 10.9% by counting comparable price, which was about 1.4% higher than Hunan provincial average rate, ranking the first place of Hunan province.

Industrial development was with good momentum

Telling from industries, all primary industry, secondary industry and tertiary industry were with good momentum. In 2014, the added value of the three industries were amounted to 18.12billion yuan, 106.41billion yuan and 62.73billion yuan respectively with the increase rate of 4.7%, 11.5% and 11.5% accordingly. The industrial structure was adjusted to 9.7:56.8:33.5. The tertiary industry covered 0.9% more than last year. The added value of above scale industries was with an increase of 12.0% which was 2.4% higher than Hunan provincial average level, ranking the second place of Hunan province.

Telling from the economic driving force, investment, consumption and export were with powerful strength. Investment kept the first driving force of Chenzhou economy from the aspect of total volume. In 2014, the fixed asset investment was amounted to 181.46billion yuan with an increase of 23.1% which was 3.7% higher than Hunan provincial average level, ranking the second place of Hunan province. The total retail sales of consumer goods was amounted to 70.67billion yuan with an increase of 12.9% which was 0.1% higher than Hunan provincial average level, ranking the second place of Hunan province.. The total volume of foreign trade hit USD4.56billion with an increase of 19.8%. The total volume of foreign trade, actual use of foreign investment and paid-in domestic investment kept the second place of Hunan province.

In 2014, 24.04billion yuan fiscal revenue was fulfilled in Chenzhou city with an increase of 11.2% which was 1.7% higher than Hunan provincial average level. Till the end of 2014, the balance of deposits and loans of domestic and foreign currency of Chenzhou financial institutes was amounted to 168.04billion yuan and 78.04billion yuan respectively with the increase of 10.7% and 15.4%. The new balance of loans was over 10 billion yuan with an amount of 10.39billion yuan.

Chenzhou city’s achievements were exciting in the first year for deepening reform

In 2014, 48reforms and 15 pilot reforms of 9 categories were implemented in Chenzhou city. 20 items of 7 categories were mainly promoted. Commercial registration reform and“three certificates in one” registration management pilot were fully promoted, which helped to lower the enterprises entrance standards and accelerate their development. Deepening reform of administrative approval system was carried out in Chenzhou as well. 92 items of Chenzhou municipal administrative approval were combined, canceled or decentralized accordingly with a decreasing rate of 57.4% and the time limit of approval was shorten for 65.6%.

The expenditure on well-being projects was kept increasing

In 2014, more financial investment was placed on well-being projects. 101 projects of “100 well-being project” have been fulfilled or over-fulfilled The total amount on well-being projects hit 13.5billion yuan with an increase of 47.8%, and the ecological environmental protection investment hit 10.06billion yuan with an increase of 39.5%. 541kms rural roads construction work has been finished. 62 dangerous and weak reservoirs were reinforced. 42,700 suits of indemnificatory housing (including shanty towns and reconstruction of rural dangerous houses) were newly built in Chenzhou city. 252,000 people’s drinking water safety problem was solved as well.

People’s living condition was kept being improved. According to the sampling survey handled out by Chenzhou investigation team of the State Statistic Bureau that in 2014, the per capita disposable income of Chenzhou city was 16,589yuan with an increase of 10%. Urban per capita disposable income was 23,621yuan with an increase of 9.2%, while rural per capita disposable income was 10,786yuan with an increase of 11.3%. The gap between the urban and rural residents decreased to 2.19:1.
