It was learned from Beihu Technology Bureau that “efficient recycle technology for preparation and clearance of high selectivity supported palladium catalysts”won the second prize of 2014 Hunan provincial scientific-technical progress award which was the highest level technological award gained by Beihu district in recent years.

Beihu district kept promoting technology and innovation which were considered as the first driving force and strategic supporting point of transformation of development mode. It placed more capitals on science and technology year by year. In 2014, the total capitals were amounted to 30million yuan which was much more than 15.05million yuan of 2010. The annual increase for the investment was about 18.8%. It helped to provide a sound condition to the technological innovation.

In order to attract more technological innovation talents, Beihu district launched a “green channel” to introduce high-level and urgent-need talents with the method of “one person, one discussion; one person, one solution”. Once the talents were ready to their position, 20,000yuan-80,000yuan special subsidies and 80,000yuan-200,000yuan settle down subsides would be issued to them accordingly. Furthermore, some more favorable policies as preferential routing of scientific research funds, academic titles and family members’ work, and etc. were granted to the talents. In recent four years, 488 high-level talents on electronic information, new material, new energy, equipment manufacturing, ecological protection, and etc. were introduced into Beihu district with this “green channel”.

Furthermore, Beihu district helped the enterprises to set up the innovation points on improvement of manufacturing techniques, technical innovation and R&D of new products, and comprehensively prepared the submission and packing work on upper-level government’s science and technology planning. In 2014, it organized Yuxiang Food to successfully submit as national science & technology project for enriching people and strengthening county economy. More than 20 Chenzhou municipal and above level scien-tech plan were successfully, obtaining over 5million yuan free scien-tech funds. Thanks to the construction of scien-tech projects, more than 40 technologies were well popularized and applied, which helped to reach over 500million yuan annual sales. According to the statistic, in 2014, 5 new or review high-tech enterprises were available in Beihu district. Its total output value and added-value of high-tech industry were amounted to 14.53billion yuan and 5.3billion yuan respectively, both of which were with an increase of 47%.
