It was reported that the working conference for domestic trade was held in Chenzhou city recently. As learned from the conference, the e-commerce of Chenzhou city was developed powerfully. The retail sales of Chenzhou city’s e-commerce hit 5billion yuan in 2014, while the total sales was amounted to 14billion yuan. Over 20,000 enterprises were involved into the e-commerce trade.

It was introduced by the conference that the total retail sales of consumer goods of Chenzhou city hit 70.67billion yuan in 2014, up 12.9%, ranking the second place of Hunan province. The rate for the consumption’s contribution to the increase of GDP was higher than national average level which was about 3% higher than last year.

According to the statistic, over 80% commerce and trade enterprises were facilitated with websites. The business volume of Chenzhou city’s express industry was amounted to 660million yuan in 2014, up 48.4%, ranking the second place of Hunan province. Competed with Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Shenzhen and other strong e-commerce cities of China, Chenzhou city was still enrolled into the state top 100 e-commerce cities list, ranking the 76th place. The total payment via Alipay was ranked the second place of Hunan province.

It was stated on the conference that the main expected targets for Chenzhou city’s domestic trade of 2015 was that the total retail sales of consumer goods of Chenzhou city should hit 80billion yuan with an increase of 13%. Much more efforts should be placed on the following four point: implementing “new three-year plan” of market construction via focusing on layout of trade network; implementing consumption projects and promotion activities of main fields via guiding the upgrading of consumption; accelerating the improvement of exhibition industry and e-commerce via improving new type of business; and improving the market supervision and construction of business environment by law via honest operation.
