Though it is cold in Chenzhou city now, the tourism markets for Feitian Mountain, Mangshan and some other landscapes of Chenzhou city are still hot. According to the statistics figured out by Chenzhou Tourism and Foreign Affairs Bureau, the festivals and events held in Chenzhou city greatly helped to promote its rapid increase of tourism economy. In the first three quarters of 2015, 30.61million visitors were received by Chenzhou city, up 24.2%; the domestic tourism revenue hit 21.28billion yuan, up 24.2% as well.
Different themes of the festivals attracted different kinds of visitors to travel to Chenzhou city. Series flower festivals as cole festival, Bailang Peach festival, alpine azalea festival which were held in Anren, Zixing, Yizhang, and etc. attracted a lot of visitors from the Pearl River Delta, Chang-Zhu-Tan area, Ganzhou and other cities to enjoy their time there. From this January to September, 37.02million visitors were received by 25 landscapes of Chenzhou city, up 5.31%. 0.38million visitors went to Dongjiang Lake, contributing 21.26million yuan with an increase of 7%. 0.116million people went to Rucheng hot spring, up 30%. 0.222million visitors went to Mount Mang Nationals Forest Park, up 19%.
Guidong county where is an old revolution base was favored with the benefits of festival as well. In this July, 2015 China (Hunan) Red Tourism Cultural Festival & China (Guidong) Fitness Leisure Festival was held in Shatian town. Thanks to the sound effects of the festival, much more visitors travels to Guidong county during the National Day holiday that no matter the amounts of visitors or tourism revenue were with an increase of over 30%. At the meantime, "Gem Show", "South Hunan Trade Fair" and other big events were held in Chenzhou city as well, which helped to promote its holiday economy. Hotels, retails, catering, entertainment and other industries were with hotter demands. In the third quarter, the total revenue of 29 star level hotels of Chenzhou city was amounted to 115million yuan, up 3.2%.
