Anhui Huangshan tribute chrysanthemum, Hunan Yongxing sweet orange, Sichuan Panzhihua mango, Yunnan Kaiyuan fragrant rice…… The Service Center of Development of High Quality Agricultural Products of the State Agriculture Ministry released “2015 China’s Well-known Quality Products Catalogue” on December 28, 2016, 741 products of 5 categories as grain, vegetable, fruit, tea, and others and 1000 production units were enrolled into the catalogue.

“It is purposely to explore, protect, cultivate and develop the well-known high quality products of China, promote the upgrading and establishment of brands of agricultural products, improve the development of high quality and safe agricultural products, and accelerate the transformation of agricultural development.” said Zhang Huarong- Director of the Service Center of Development of High Quality Agricultural Products of the State Agriculture Ministry.

It was learned that the formulation of the catalogue of China’s well-known high quality agricultural products was started from 2013, and the list would be issued every two years. This list is the second batch. The center focused on guiding the development of advantageous industry and special industry, promoting the standardized production of agriculture, leading local government’s cultivation of public brands, increasing the effects of agriculture and farmers’ income, accelerating the establishment high quality and competitive price mechanism, and satisfying the market’s demands on high quality agricultural products by formulating the catalogue.

It was introduced that most of the products listed in the catalogue are produced in the range of layout planning of advantageous agricultural products regions and layout planning of characteristic agricultural products regions, and well-known brands, such as Shanxi Luochuan apple, Shandong Zhangqiu green onion, Anhui Lu’an Guapian tea, and etc. The recommended production units listed on the catalogue are series national leading enterprises of industrialization of agriculture, such as Fujian Anxi Tieguanyin Group Co., Ltd., and etc. 90% of the products of the catalogue are the ones have been qualified as pollution-free, green, organic or excellent agriculture products with quality tracing mechanism. Some are the ones under geological landmark registration and protection. Most are honored with the awards as famous trademark, famous-brand product, and etc.
