In this “two sessions”, Li Keqiang- Premier of the State Council pointed out on the government working report that “one belt one road” should be improved to promote opening up and international economic cooperation, and should be upgraded to be a peaceful belt and co-prosperity road.

As the foreland of Hunan province opening up and an important “pole” of Hunan province new development pattern, how should Chenzhou seize the chance of “one belt one road” to accelerate the improvement of opening up? Qu Hai- representative of National People’s Congress, Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee, and Mayor of Chenzhou City considered that Chenzhou city should improve the infrastructure construction and play the best roles of domestic and international markets and resources.

Chenzhou city is key area of national demonstration of South Hunan Undertaking Industrial Transfer and great development of South Hunan, one of the key battlefields of the development and poverty stricken of Luoxiao mountainous area, and famous “non-ferrous metals museum” of China even the world with rich non-ferrous resources. Along with the development of economy and society and deepening promotion of opening up, Chenzhou city has stepped into a golden period of a new round of opening up, development, construction, and improvement, so that the interconnection of infrastructure is playing more and more important role.

“The good news is Chenzhou Airport has been enrolled into national planning and Xingyi-Yongzhou-Chenzhou-Ganshou railway has been listed into ‘five horizontal’ railways network as well.” Qu Hai stated that the improvement of infrastructure can be helpful to enhance Chenzhou city’s cooperation with the Pearl Delta Area, Yangtze River Delta and central and western regions of China, as well as the participation in national and international cooperation and competition. The all-around opening up pattern will be formed by the resource complementarity and industrial connection.

Concerned for playing the best roles of domestic and international markets and resources, the key point is to improve the international cooperation by “one belt one road” and introduce some international enterprises and technologies into Chenzhou city.

The 4th China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Show which will be held in this May is one of the most comprehensive exhibitions for Hunan province opening up. The platform can be well used to dock with “one belt one road” and enhance academic, scientific, and international cooperation as well.

It was introduced by Qu Hai, till the end of this February, 80 clients from over 30 countries as the United States, UK, France, Germany, Italy, and etc. have booked more than 400 stands for this show, which is 200 more than last time. Concerned for the booking of domestic market, more than 300 enterprises from Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangdong, Guangxi, Jiangsu, Yunnan, Hubei, HK, Macau, Taiwan and etc. booked over 1000 stands. The commercial stands have almost been booked out.

“Though Chenzhou is not near the sea and river, it can still take the best advantages of the great strategy of ‘one belt one road’ to promote further development of opening up,” sated by Qu Hai.
