It was reported that the grain working conference was held in Chenzhou city on March 30, 2016. It summarized the grain work handled out in “12th five-year plan” on the conference, as well as analyzed the new situation faced by the grain work, discussed the development thinking for “13th five-year plan”, and laid out the grain work of 2016. 

During the “12th five-year plan”, Chenzhou city gained great achievements on the grain work that 1.37million tons of grains were purchased during that period, which benefited the farmers with 324million yuan income. At the meantime, the targets set for “10-billion-yuan industry” and “warehousing” project of grain and oil work were fulfilled completely. From 2013 to 2015, 189million yuan capitals were collected by the grain departments of Chenzhou city and the counties to handle the warehousing construction projects. 110,400 tons and 241,000 tons of warehousing capacity newly constructed and recovered respectively, while 167,000 tons of the capacity were upgraded and 241 suits of new devices were facilitated there.

It was required on the conference that it should follow the general target of safety, highlight the four key points of “purchase, supply, monitor, industry”, and well implement 9 works to handle the grain work in 2016. Moreover, all departments should focus on two themes as expanding grain economy and ensure the grain safety to handle the grain projects construction and service. It should try to finish the continuous construction project of 48,000tons warehouse capacity and launch new 70,000-ton warehouse capacity project and 3000-ton oil storage project.

Lei Xiaoda- Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou City highly affirmed the achievements gained on grain work. He stated that the grain departments should seize the change to encounter with the challenge; pay closer attention on figuring the plans for “13th five-year plan”; analyze the chances and challenges faced by grain work; well handle the structural reform of the supply and demands front of grains; improve the development of grain industry; keep the production capacity of grain; invigorate the grain circulation; ensure the safety of grain; and protect the farmers’ interests.

Before the opening of the conference, all the participants visited Chenzhou subordinate storehouse of the State Grain Reserves and first storehouse of Chenzhou city’s State-owned Grain Reserves.
