It was learned from Chenzhou Statistics Bureau that in the first quarter Chenzhou city’s consumption market was being improved well with steady increase by implementing series measures on keeping stable increase, promoting reform, adjusting structure, and upgrading well-being condition to inspire consumption demands.
According to the statics, from this January to March, total retail sales of consumer goods was amounted to 19.18billion yuan, up 11.5% which was 0.3% higher than Hunan provincial average level, ranking the second place of Hunan province. Retail sales of consumer goods above designated size hit 6.02billion yuan, up 12.2% which was 3.8% higher than last year.
In the first quarter, new business model was being improved rapidly, contributing as the supporting point for the increase of consumer products market. Urban commercial complex which is the functions of commerce, entertainment, consumption, business, high-end residence well meet different consumers’ demands by its diversification of businesses and enjoyment of consumption. According to the statics, the total retail sales of BBK New World Square and Shengyuan Times Square were amounted to 953.2million yuan, contributing 0.9% to the increase of Chenzhou city’s retail sales of consumer goods above designated size. In the meantime, “internet+ commerce” was being improved rapidly that the wholesale and retail of the sales of consumer goods above designated size which was sold via internet was with an increase of 37.5%- 26% higher than total retail sales of consumer goods.
As analyzed from the statistics data, catering and commodity sales were with the increasing trend. Thanks to the good results of transformation and upgrading of large and medium-size enterprises and rapid growth of mass catering and “internet + catering”, the sales of catering and commodities hit new record since 2013, contributing 12.7% to the increase of consumer products market, which was 2.4% higher than last year. The sales of accommodation and catering enterprises above designated size were up 13.1%, and the sales of them sold via internet were up 22.3%.
The development of consumer products market above designated size was badly affected by the drop of the increase of auto commodities sales. From this January to March, the retail sales of above designated size were 1.77billion yuan more than the retail sales of auto commodities, up 12.5%. According to the statistics, only 24 of the 68 registered auto commodities retail enterprises above designated size were with positive increase, while the rest 44 were with negative increase. Auto commodities covered 30.5% of the total retail sales of above designated size, so its drop of increase drew the total increase down 0.9%.
