It was reported that a symposium for key import and export enterprises was held in Chenzhou city on June 7, 2016, which was purposely to analyze current foreign trade and discuss some solutions on confronting with the downturn of foreign trade. 

Affected by downturn of economy and international demands especially for non-ferrous metals market, price contradiction, and etc., the foreign trade of Chenzhou city was decreased in 2016. According to the statistics, from this January to April, the total volume of foreign trade was amounted to USD514million, down 37.86%. It was estimated that the total volume of foreign trade for the first 5 months would be about USD700million, down 33.33%, accounting for 21.21% of the preset Hunan provincial task of USD3.3billion.

The principals of 18 key import & export enterprises as Jingui Silver, Yuteng Non-ferrous, Jinwang Bismuth, and etc. delivered speeches on the conference and listed some problems and difficulties as custom clearance, tax refund, mortgage, loan, and etc. hindered on the way of development. The leaders who are in charge of finance, commerce, customs, inspection, tax, foreign exchange, and other departments explained some problems on the conference.

As required on the conference, all the departments should pay closer attention on the problems presented by the enterprises and figured out relative solutions to solve them accordingly. Chenzhou Commerce Bureau should collect all the problems before the afternoon of June 13, 2016 and then lead relative departments to discuss with the companies and specify the solution and time schedule before June 17, 2016. Closer follow-up service should be paid on the key potential foreign trade enterprises to form new increasing points and fulfill annual targets.
