It was reported that 20 members of the delegation of "2016 Taiwan Merchants' Trip to Hunan" visited Chenzhou city from July 9-10, 2016. He Jianxiang- Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou city attended relative activities.

Taiwan and Chenzhou established closer relationship with each other in recent years. Till now, there are 29 Taiwan-owned companies (including the ones qualified by the commercial departments which can place investment directly and the ones transferred from the third party) available in Chenzhou city. The total trading volume was amounted to USD131million in 2015. They helped to provide 9691 job vacancies for local people. During their trip, the members visited Dongjiang Lake, Dongjiangwan Dream Inn, Zixing Huagang Refined Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Dream Innovation Incubator Base, and then investigated Delta Electronics (Chenzhou) Co., Ltd., Hunan Grand-Pro Co., Ltd., and the World's Non-ferrous Metals Museum.

He Jianxiang warmly greeted the delegation and gave brief introduction of Chenzhou city. She stated that Chenzhou city would keep following the general strategy of "keeping leading role of industry, improving overall development" and keep placing more attention on the cooperation with Taiwan, HK, and Macau, and the Pearl River Delta. She also confirmed that Chenzhou city would keep protecting the legal rights of Taiwan merchants and providing them with sound investment condition.
