It was learned that recently a “PPP Project Agreement for Integration of Rucheng County’s Urban and Rural Water Supply and Drainage” was signed between Rucheng Government and Beijing Enterprises Water Group Limited and Hunan 2nd Engineering Co., Ltd. Complex. It was the first PPP project concerned about water conservancy signed by Rucheng county.

It was learned that it was one of the 2nd batch of PPP projects of Hunan province, mainly on cold water supply system, sewage disposal plant, and supporting pipe networks. 14 towns and counties are covered into the plan which is aimed to handle the sewage disposal of 80,000tons/month. According to the plan, 90.29kms long support pipe networks will be built there. Total amount of the agreement is 1.072 billion yuan. It will be handled out by two phase, the first phase covers with 583million yuan, 383million yuan of which is for new projects, including the construction of 1st phase of the main body and supporting pipe networks of 2nd Water Supply Plant; and the second phase covers with 498.9million yuan, including the 2nd phase of the main body and expansion of supporting pipe networks of 2nd Water Supply Plant, extension of Rucheng Sewage Disposal Plant, Sanxing Industrial Park sewage Disposal Plant, pipe networks, and sewage disposal plants of 15 towns and counties. Once the project finished, the problems concerned for drinking water safety and sewage disposal would be solved fundamentally.
