Feng Haiyan- Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Director of Chenzhou Propaganda Department investigated Chenzhou Media Group on October 19, 2016. Feng stated that the culture and sports industries should be further improved to upgrade “soft power” of Chenzhou City.

In recent years, Chenzhou City placed much effort on improving “strong culture city” and “sports city”, which gained great achievements on culture and sports industries. The added value of culture and sports industry covered 5.43% of GDP in 2015, ranking 3rd place of Hunan Province.

Feng Haiyan visited Chenzhou Museum and Chenzhou Library and checked their development condition. As required by Feng, culture and sports industry should be improved solidly, especially on improving modern public cultural service system and upgrading the utilization rate of culture and sports facilities; culture and sports industry should be further upgraded by introducing the market entity; more efforts should be placed on handling the culture and sports events to popularize the fame and establish relative brand; and the team which is in charge of the culture and sports industry should be cultivated to promote the development of the industry.
