Looking forward for so long time, Chishi Bridge will finally be placed to operation!

It was reported that Shishi Bridge will be opened to public on this October 28.

Once opened, it only takes one hour from Chenzhou urban area to Rucheng County.

Chishi Bridge which is the widest span of 380meters is the largest high pier concrete tower of cable-stayed bridge of the world. It is a part of Xiarong Expressway in Chishi Town, Yizhang County.

There are four main towers for this bridge, the biggest one of which is 286.63meters. The bridge surface is 182meters higher than the ground surface. There is no ready experience available in Chinese construction history concerned for the unique karst geological condition encountered by this bridge, so the constructors can only figure it out by their technological innovations. Various engineering which was firstly created in the world and some state patents were obtained by the project. It helped to provide treasurable experiences for the construction of large bridges under complexed geological condition.
