It was learned from Chenzhou Quality Technology Supervision Bureau that the construction of standardization demonstration of tung tree which is handled out by Chenzhou Guosheng Bio Shares Energy Co., Ltd. for three years is being improved with good effects. It is greatly helpful to improve the development of agriculture industry, increasing of farmers’ income, and development of rural economy in the demonstration area.

Chenzhou Guosheng Bio Shares Energy Co., Ltd.is a comprehensive company with the functions of biological resources, biological materials, forest economy, tourism projects, and etc. The 3-year agreement of its construction of standardization demonstration of tung tree is mainly for the construction of standardized system concerned for selection of species of tung tree, cultivation, and processing of tung tree seeds. It was placed for implementation in June, 2014.

With the supports of Hunan and Chenzhou supervision departments, the company figured out “Framework for technology standardized system” and “Compile of standardized system of tung tree”. It enhanced the propaganda and technological training. 1268 people from Guangdong, Jiangxi, Fujian, and other provinces went to the demonstration area for investigation and study, and over 16,000 farmers took training courses there. It also improved the standardized production base of tung tree and followed the operation model of “company+ base+ farmer+ standardization” to improve the standardized cultivation and production of tung trees. Currently, there are over 100,000mu standardized demonstration base of tung tree distributed in Suxian, Yizhang, Guiyang, and Guidong County of Chenzhou City. One processing line with the capacity of 20,000tons of tung oil which was covered with over 80million yuan investment was placed to operation.

Sound economic and ecological effects were gained on construction of standardization demonstration of tung tree. Till now, 9500 families were attracted to join in the cultivation of tung tree, which helped to address over 10,000 surplus labors. Local rural family can benefit with 7800yuan more income every year. The coverage rate for the standardization in the demonstration area is 98% and the qualified rate of agricultural products is 96%. This project was past the checking and approval of Hunan Province in this September and was estimated to be passed the State’s approval next year.
