It was learned from some departments that along with the improvement of “New Chenzhou”, the market of consumer products was being improved stably in this year.

From this January to September, the total retail sales of consumer products was amounted to 65.02billion yuan, up 11.7% which was 0.1% higher than Hunan provincial average increasing rate, ranking the 3rd place of Hunan Province. The total retail sales of designated enterprises was 26.39billion yuan, up 12.4%; retail industry was 20.69billion yuan, up 11.0%; accommodation industry was 470million yuan, up 19.7%; and catering industry was 1.21billion yuan, up 24.6%. All of the data indicated that the consumer market was being improved stably.

The sales of consumption goods and accommodation & catering industry were improved rapidly. From the aspect of categories of products, 16 of the 27 categories of above designated unit were increased faster than last year. From this January, the total sale volume of stationery product was up 29%, jewelry product was 54.7% higher, and tele-com item was up 63.5%. All three were being improved rapidly. Thanks to the 1st Beautiful Rural Tourism and Culture Festival, total tourism revenue was up to 15.14billion yuan, which upgraded the fame of “National Leisure City”. The sales of accommodation and catering were 1.88billion yuan and 7.25billion yuan, up 13.9(% and 14.5% respectively.

In the meantime, the destocking of real estate also helped to improve the sales of consumer products. Favored with the promotion of destocking and some policies, the sales of commercial housing returned to normal level. From January to September, 3.744million square meters of commercial housing were sold, up 23.9%. 3.219million square meters housing is still being listed on the market, which is 0.731million square meters less than the amount of the end of this May. It kept decreasing for 5 months. Along with the sales of commercial housing, the retail sales of relative industries as household applicants, electronics, furniture, construction and decoration materials, and etc. were amounted to 3.05billion yuan.
