Currently, the Committee for Economic Development of Small and Medium-Size Cities, the Institute of Small and Medium-Size Cities’s Development Strategies, the Research Group of Small and Medium-Size Cities’ Development Indexes, and some other unit released a list of “2016 top 1000 counties of China” , Liangtian Town of Suxian District was enrolled into the list, ranking 575th place.

Liangtian Town is about 22kms drive from Chenzhou central urban area. Hunan-Guangdong Ancient Horse Trace, 107 National Road, Jinggang’ao expressway, Xiarong expressway, and other lines are via the town. 31 administrative villages and 3 communities with 51,400 populations are available in the town. The total area of the town is 191.92square kilometers.

In recent years, it followed the general idea of “improving industry, promoting commerce, upgrading urban construction, exploring culture”, the town took active actions on introducing some new industries and improving the modern industrial clusters. Different agricultural industries were being promoted rapidly there. In 2015, its GDP hit 3.98billion yuan, up 15.8%; the total fiscal revenue was amounted to 30.96million yuan, up 21%; and the total fixed asset investment reached 1.88billion yuan, up 22.1%. It was honored as “national key town”, “Hunan provincial sanitary town”, “Hunan beautiful town”, and etc.
