10000mu selenium tea project was launched in Shiqiao Town, Jiahe County recently.

It was introduced that this project is one of the agreements signed on Chenzhou Agricultural Products Expo. According to the agreement, Guangxi Shaoping Guxiang Tea Co., Ltd. would place 150million yuan on the construction of 10000mu tea farm. The first 5000mu is mainly located in the hills around Bandongqiao. Currently, some preliminary works as feasibility study, surveying and mapping, planning, project approval, and etc. have been finished.

This project is one of the key important parts of Shiqiao Town’s plan of “scenery + industry”, as well as a key measure for improving four leading industries as “agricultural products, pig, loach, and selenium tea”. The core area of this project is located in Banqiaodong where is adjacent to one of eight scenic spots of Jiahe County.

The selenium tea will be supplied to domestic and international markets, which may become one of the key poles for Jiahe County’s economic increasing. It was learned that the project was estimated to be finished in 2020, which would be the largest selenium tea industry project of Chenzhou City.
