When reporters arrived at the construction site of dams in Oujiawan Village, Nanqiang Town, Linwu County, workers were busy in operating the machines there. It was learned that Linwu County planned to place 180million yuan on the water conservancy projects in this winter and next spring. 3620 water conservancy projects would be finished during that period, most of which are retreatment of small and medium-sized rivers, expansion of rural small hydropower stations, infrastructures of irrigation and water conservancy, and etc.

In order to fulfill the construction tasks with high quality, Linwu County worked out “three measures”. First, specifying task and responsibility plan. Some weak points were checked out after comparing with the plan released early this year, and a new task and responsibility plan was figured out accordingly. Second, handling counting down plan and promoting the progress of projects. All the water conservancy projects handled out in previous stage would be checked again and the projects under construction would be promoted with “counting down schedule”. Third, enhancing supervision work and award & punishment work. All the county, town, and village level party organizations should be aware of the responsibilities and tasks of the water conservancy projects and try best to improve the progress of projects, upgrade the quality, and enhance the supervision. The promotion of water conservancy projects would be covered into the annual assessment of grassroots party organization.

Till the end of this November, 24 “small on-farm waterworks” and 215 “five-small” water conservancy projects were launched, 21 water damage projects were reconstructed, 18 rural safety water diversion projects and 5km river channel reconstruction projects were finished. Over 35million yuan investments were placed on the projects.
