It was learned that Guidong County and Puliang Runhe Industrial Co., Ltd. reached the agreement on development Chinese traditional herbal medicine industry in 2016 Hunan (Chenzhou) 2nd Special Agricultural Products Expo. This 1.05billion yuan investment contract is one of the great breakthroughs for Guidong County’s investment attraction work. From the beginning of 2016. The county played best advantages of national ecological demonstration county, Bamianshan National Natural Reserve, Qiyunfeng National Forest Park, the county with highest content of negative oxygen ions in China, and other national brands, paid closer attention on the improvement of platforms, and kept optimizing business environment. Series policies and measures as “Guidong County’s 4-year plan on investment attraction”, “Guidong County’s 4-year plan on improvement of service industry”, “Comments on further improvement of undertaking industrial transfer and opening economy”, etc. were released by the county, which granted the investment attraction and project construction work with powerful policy supports.

In order to upgrade the effects of investment attraction, Guidong County paid closer attention on improving itself, such as working out “Instruction for investing in Guidong County”, “Brochures of Guidong County’s key investment attraction projects”, and special propagandizing film of Guidong County, setting up leadership team of opening economy work and investment attraction, and etc. Some traditional industries were being improved and upgraded as well, such as photovoltaic material, small hydro power station, Chinese traditional herbal medicine industry, labor-intensive industry, and ecological tourism were trying to be upgraded as the advantageous industry of the county. More innovative methods were carried out on the investment attraction work, especially on new energy, new material, biomedical, cultural innovation, and etc. The county also hold different activities to invite the investors’ visiting there, comprehending them with the competitive projects, which greatly helped to promote the accurate investment attraction work.

“Ecology” is the foundation for the improvement of Guidong County. It keeps the ideas of “industry and project in lead, best tourism, green development” and the bottom line of protecting ecological environment on the process of investment attraction. Currently, 1.67billion yuan paid-in domestic investments have been finished by the county, up 12.53%. Huaneng Hankou wind power station, Chinese herbal medicine, Shunjing Garments, Wangerte, Hongtaixing, and some other projects were settled down in Guidong County. New energy, biomedical, spring water, deep processing of photovoltaic materials, and etc. were favoured by Sany Group, Huadian Group, Xiangxue Medical, and some other enterprises, which grants strong supports to further development of opening economy of Guidong County.
