According to the information released on the official website of the State Development and Reform Commission, Chenzhou City was enrolled into the 3rd batch of national new urbanization comprehensive pilots.

Some other ones as Xiangtan City, Qiyang County and Hongshi Town of Yongzhou City which are from Hunan Province were enrolled into the list as well. Zixing City of Chenzhou City was enrolled into the first batch. As required by the notice, all the pilots should launch the pilot work before the end of 2016, reach some stage achievements and collect some replicable and sustainable experiences in 2018, and promote successful experience nationwide in 2020.

Followed the general requirements for the tasks of the pilots clarified on “General implementation solution on national new urbanization comprehensive pilots” and practical conditions of current new urbanization development, all pilots should pay special attention on highlighting regional features, especially migrant workers’ integration into urban life, improvement of new small and medium-sizes cities, development of central city, green and smart development of city, integration of industry and city, protection and undertaking of local culture, overall development of urban and rural areas, and etc.
