On November 24th, the Liantang wind power project in Guiyang County started, which was the key scheduling project of the city and county, the total investment of 2 billion, the installed capacity of 230 thousand KW, the estimated annual electricity consumption of 500 million kwh. The first batch of units can be put into production in June 2018.

In recent years, Guiyang County relying on the rich wind resources, seized the opportunity of the country to carry out strategic emerging industry, vigorously develop the wind power industry, and introduce China Guangdong Nuclear Power, PowerChina, China Guodian, HydroChina, Hunan Xinhua Group and other companies. As of now, Guiyang County has built 8 wind farms with the installed capacity of 348 thousand kilowatts, accounting for 36.2% of the city's installed capacity. The wind power industry has been completed the total investment of 4 billion, the cumulative generating capacity of over 2 billion degrees, paid taxes of over 40 million yuan, and absorbed and promoted the employment of more than 1000 people.

To promote the construction of wind power project in a fast and orderly way, the county has established a leading group with the County Party Secretary as the consultant and the head as the group leader, and set up the certificate service group, land expropriation and demolition group, anti stabilization group and comprehensive assessment group to provide a full range of services for the construction of wind power project. At the same time, Guiyang County constantly strengthened the supervision over project construction, asked the construction party to carry out scientific construction, civilized construction and ecological construction in strict accordance with the project design, water conservation plan, environmental protection scheme, ecological restoration and so on to protect the local ecological environment while developing the new industry.

At the end of "13th Five-Year", the total installed capacity of wind power in this county will reach 1 million KW, the annual energy production will reach1.8 billion kwh and the annual output value will be over 1 billion yuan, the annual revenue of 100 million yuan, saving more than 600 thousand tons of coal per year.
