Chenzhou City Awarded "2019 BlueSky Award for Global Pioneer Cities of Green and Low Carbon Development"

 At the 2019 City Green Development Forum and the 7th Shenzhen International Low Carbon City Forum held in Shenzhen City, Chenzhou City was awarded the "2019 BlueSky Award for Global Pioneer Cities of Green and Low Carbon Development" under the guidance of the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). Major-General Yang Liwei, Supper Astronaut, presented the award to Chenzhou City.

Shenzhen International Low Carbon City Forum is an influential international forum in the field of green and low carbon, which is an important international dialogue platform for China to deal with climate change, and is an important platform to promote the industrialization of low-carbon science and technology, and to cooperate with capital and industry in the field of low-carbon environmental protection and clean technology.

 

The "BlueSky Award" is an international award in the global green low-carbon field. The "BlueSky Award", directed by the UN Industrial Development Organization and sponsored by the Organizing Committee of the BlueSky Award in the global green and low carbon field, aims to promote the industrialization and wide application of green and low carbon technology and guide the green lifestyle and sustainable development.

 

Since June 2013, six sessions have been successfully held under the guidance and support of the National Development and Reform Commission, Guangdong Development and Reform Commission and Shenzhen People's Government.

 

Chenzhou City has attached great importance to the declaration work. Chenzhou Development and Reform Commission took the lead in organizing the declaration and won the "2019 BlueSky Award for Global Pioneer Cities of Green and Low Carbon Development". The other award-winning cities included Wuhan, China , Bonn, Germany and Kyoto, Japan.
