Recently, the 3rd Hunan Graphite Standardization Technical Committee and the 2nd Hunan Nonferrous Metals Standardization Technical Committee were held in our city. The Secretariat of the Technical Committee for standardization of graphite and nonferrous metals is located in Chenzhou Institute of Commodity Quality Supervision and Inspection. After the change of office, the Technical Committee for Standardization of Graphite and Nonferrous metals will strengthen its standardization work and promote the development of related industries.

Standard is the core element of industrial development and market competition, and an important means to promote technological progress and independent innovation. Hunan is a big province of graphite resources and industry. "Carbon based materials industry chain" has become one of the 20 new industrial chains in Hunan Province. Since its establishment, the Provincial Graphite Standardization Technical Committee has successively formulated 10 local standards, 4 national standards, 20 industry standards, and 2 alliance standards, which has played a positive role in improving the quality of graphite carbon products in our province. Nonferrous metals is an important pillar industry in our province. Strengthening the standardization work of nonferrous metals industry is conducive to improving the comprehensive strength of nonferrous metals industry, accelerating the pace of circular economy and energy conservation and emission reduction of nonferrous metals industry. Since its establishment, the Provincial Non-ferrous Metal Standardization Technical Committee has participated in the project application and revision of 2 international standards, 8 national standards, 16 industrial standards, 5 local standards and 1 group standard.

The third Hunan Graphite Standardization Technical Committee and the second Hunan Nonferrous Metals Standardization Technical Committee will further improve the construction of industry standard system, formulate high-level technical standards, strengthen quality management and technological innovation, enhance the enterprise standardization degree through technical standard training, improve the competitiveness and discourse power of the graphite and nonferrous metals industry in our province, and boost the high quality development of the industry.
