Kibing’s ultra-white quartz sand processing line to be put into operation next March

Since September this year, Zixing Branch of Chenhzou Kibing Photovoltaic & Photoelectric Glass Co., Ltd., relying on the rich silica resources in Zixing City, has spared no efforts to build a quartz sand material supply base. The ultra-white quartz sand processing line project with the annual output of 580,000 tons is under construction, and will be put into operation by the end of March next year.
The project is located in Ziwu Industrial Park. It’s a new key project invested by Kibing Group to improve the supporting photovoltaic industry. The total investment is about 600 million yuan and the planned land is about 93,333 square meters. More than 200 workers are busy working on the construction site every day, as the weather is fine.
“After three months of efforts from September this year, about 60% of the whole civil work has been completed. And the foundation of all single structures have been completed, such as mineral separation workshop, concentration tank and tailing mud workshop, as well as ancillary ones,” said Qi Xin, a civil engineering director of the company.
In order to further optimize the business environment, the local governments have given strong support to the project in all aspects. At present, the project has invested more than 40 million yuan.
“The project is expected to be put into operation by the end of March 2022, which will create jobs for about 150 people,” said Wang Shaoming, assistant general manager of the company.
After the project is put into operation, the annual output value can reach 300 billion yuan, which will provide quartz sand raw materials for Kibing Group’s photovoltaic and high-end medical glass in Chenzhou areas.
The ultra-white quartz sand is mainly used in such sectors as photovoltaic photoelectric glass, solar glass and ultra-white glass. It will effectively help the sustainable development of silicon material industry in Zixing City.
