An investment invitation conference was recently held in Linwu County. The heads of 182 battery enterprises from all over the country came to Linwu to investigate the local development environment. 14 enterprises signed contracts on the site with a total amount of 10.13 billion yuan.
Linwu County seized the opportunity of new energy development and cooperated with Guangdong Battery Industry Association and Tianjin power battery industry cluster to build a Hunan-Guangdong (Linwu) battery industry cluster. With a total investment of 24 billion yuan, it will be constructed in three phases. It plans to introduce 100 battery production enterprises and strives to achieve an annual output value of 50 billion yuan.
At present, 18 enterprises have been introduced into the cluster area, initially forming a new energy industry cluster with the production of raw materials for battery industry, mechanical equipment manufacturing and related enterprises represented by Hunan Joysun New Energy, by taking the joint laboratory of Joysun and the postdoctoral workstation of Central South University as its core, as well as integrating scientific research, production, and testing.
Hunan Joysun New Energy Co., Ltd. settled in Linwu in 2017. This year, the company was approved as a “small giant”. After Joysun New Energy, as the executive chairman unit of Guangdong Battery Industry Association, settled in Linwu, a number of backbone enterprises in the industrial chain followed suit, including Shenghai Electronics, Kowyaee Cloud, Shengwu New Energy, and Forest Wind. Thus, a gathering area for scientific research, industrialized production and promotion is taking shape.
The leader of the Linwu County CPC Committee said that they formulated and issued a work plan for the great development of market entities to support the steady development of battery industry, by timely providing “policy package” for enterprises and implementing more than 100 policies and measures, including tax and fees reduction, and rent reduction.
Linwu county has also built financial service platforms to help small and medium-sized enterprises alleviate financing difficulties. It has established an industrial guidance fund of 300 million yuan to help leading enterprises like Joysun New Energy and Dongjia Electronics achieve capacity expansion, efficiency increase and their listing.
