Another 10-billion-yuan lithium project signed in Linwu

2022-10-21

On October 19, the local government of Linwu County, Chenzhou City signed an agreement with Dazhong Mining in Inner Mongolia to build a lithium polymetallic ore mining and processing, lithium carbonate processing and battery production project, with a total investment of 16 billion yuan. This is another 10-billion-yuan lithium project after the 40.6-billion-yuan project signed with Shanghai Anneng Construction Mining Group on September 30.

Dazhong Mining focuses on mining, processing and smelting. It’s a listed private iron ore company with the largest reserves in China, a national high-tech enterprise, and a national green mining enterprise.

Since being listed in May 2021, it has focused on new energy and new economic development opportunities around de-carbonization.

Since this year, the local government of Chenzhou has seized the opportunity of lithium battery industry, and made joint efforts to attract investment from large enterprises and support the development of key enterprises, so as to make Chenzhou quickly a cluster of leading enterprises in the industry.

In particular, relying on the advantages of resource reserves, industrial chains, leading enterprises and the whole industrial chain, Linwu County aims to build a “city of battery industry”, accelerate the construction of a green and whole industrial chain, and promote the lithium battery new energy industry to achieve breakthroughs.
