The Rucheng Cultural and Tourism Investment Promotion Conference was held on December 21. It showcased the charm of Rucheng’s Red culture, hot springs, ancient history, green ecology, and non-ferrous metals from all aspects, and explored opportunities for the integrated development of cultural and tourism, to help Rucheng become a popular tourist destination in China.
At the promotion conference, Rucheng County launched six boutique tourism routes, including Red study tour, countryside tour, wellness tour, ancient county tour, and hot spring experience tour. In addition, the XR project, a new quality cultural and tourism product in Rucheng, was introduced, showcasing a new form of integration between cultural and tourism resources and modern technology.
At the event site, 9 major cultural and tourism investment projects, including the immersive digital entertainment project, the cultural and tourism wellness industry chain project, the construction of No. 5 Valley high-end homestay inns, the development of cultural and tourism project in Baishiyan, and the leisure cultural and tourism project of Hong Kong China Tourism Group, were signed to settle in Rucheng with a total amount of nearly 3 billion yuan.
Rucheng County, located at the intersection of Hunan, Guangdong, and Jiangxi provinces, adjacent to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, is a historical and cultural city in Hunan Province and a national demonstration area for ecological civilization construction.
It boasts nearly a thousand ancient ancestral halls and the Lianxi Academy. It also has one national intangible cultural heritage project, 15 provincial and municipal intangible cultural heritage projects, and 33 county-level intangible cultural heritage projects.
In recent years, Rucheng has built emerging cultural and tourism projects to enrich tourism scenes and enhance the connotation of wellness. In the first three quarters of this year, the county received 5.2527 million domestic and foreign tourists, with a total tourism revenue of 5.326 billion yuan.
