On the evening of July 19, "The Stroy of Black Stone" (famous version), the original grand drama of Hunan Kun Opera Troupe was performed in the Classical Theater of Hunan Kun Opera Troupe, which was a project funded by the National Art Foundation in 2017.

On July 5th and 8th, "The Stroy of Black Stone" was premiered in Changsha and Yueyang, respectively, and won praise from experts and viewers. It was the first time to perform in the hometown, so the Hunan Kunqu Opera Troupe has launched two versions: the famous version and the inheritance verstion. The "famous version" is performed by Luo Yan, Head of Hunan Kun Opera Troupe and National First-Class Actor, and Huang Bingqiang, National Peking Opera Academy National First-Class Actor (specially invited). The "inheritance version" is performed by Liu Jie and Lu Hongkai, the outstanding young actors of Hunan Kunqu Opera Troupe, as the first female role of Li Ruoshui and male role of Liu Zhan respectively.

According to introduction, "The Stroy of Black Stone" is the first grand play with a strong Chenzhou element, which has been created by Hunan Kunqu Opera Troupe for three years. The creation team has a strong lineup, including Wang Xiaoying as the Chief Director, the Vice-chairman of the Chinese Dramatist Association, Yu Miaolan, the youth composer, Ji Qiao as the dance design, the national first-grade dance designer of the Guangdong Provincial Institute of Culture and Art, and Zhou Xuehua, a famous composer, reproducing the early ways of expression that have been lost, which not only keeps the musical characteristics of the Kunqu Operal of Hunan, but also do not lose the elegant color of Kunqu Opera music.
