Jiang Jianjun elaborates the mineral gems and human culture

On the basis of the international mineral show to be fixed in Chenzhou city permanently, the opening speech of 2016 Linyi Forum was launched in Chenzhou People’s Hall on April 1, 2016. Jiang Jianjun- the Director of Technology and International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Land and Resources addressed an excellent lecture with the title of “mineral gems and human culture” on that day.

Jiang Jianjun has working on the technological management of geological minerals and administration of geological environmental protection for a long term. In recent years, he kept working on “protection of national geological relics”, “construction of national geological park and national mine park”, “treatment of mines”, and etc. and contributed greatly on those fields.

Based on some questions as “the formation of the earth”, “three types of rocks”, “mineral”, “ornamental stone”, “gem”, and etc., Jiang Jianjun elaborated the formation and classification of mineral gems, refined utilization, mining, and protection of minerals, and relations between minerals and human life & culture, and analyzed the features and advantages of Chenzhou minerals by presenting abundant pictures and figures and applying humor and plain languages on the aspects of professional knowledge.

Jiang said mineral which is a kind of natural and inorganic uniformed crystalloid solid produced by physical and chemical reactions on the crust is the basic unit of rock and ore. The geological condition and evolution history are well reserved on the mineral crystal, from which can learn the formation and evolution of minerals and take full advantages of mineral resources. The collection of mineral crystals can help to popularize the scientific knowledge of the earth and raise the awareness of protection of resources. Jiang also emphasized that it symbolized human culture and progress by transforming the nature and utilizing the natural resources. More knowledge about the formation and features of minerals should be learned, as well as the protection and utilization of them from the aspects of wealth, jewelry collection, investment, medical use, and etc. Every small thing is the gift from nature, and we can create great fortunes from it as long as we pay closer attention on the reasonable protection and scientific utilization.

Zhang Xihui- Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Minister of Chenzhou Propaganda Department hosted the forum with the entrust of Yi Pengfei- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City. Some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city listened to this forum.
