Today's unveiling ceremony and construction mobilization conference were held to mobilize and deploy the construction of the pilot free trade zone and comprehensively start the construction of the pilot free trade zone.

The establishment of China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone is an important measure taken by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council to promote a new round of reform and opening up and realize high-quality economic development. It is also a great support for Hunan to build a highland of reform and opening up in inland areas.

The construction of Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone is conducive to the formation of a new pattern of coordinated development of the central region, the cultivation of new advantages of the central region in participating in international competition and cooperation, the improvement of a new opening-up system suited to the characteristics of the central region, and the formation of a new mode of local economic and trade cooperation with Africa. With a total area of 119.76 square kilometers, Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone has identified Changsha, Yueyang and Chenzhou City as three distinctive bright spots.

Changsha City is the capital of Hunan Province, the important node city of "the Belt and Road", one of the central cities of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the first city in the "Belt and Area", with obvious industrial advantages such as high-end equipment manufacturing and new generation information technology. With an area of 79.98 square kilometers, Changsha Area highlights the airport economy, creates a global high-end equipment manufacturing industry base, a high-end modern service industry center in inland areas, a leading area of China Africa economic and trade cooperation, and a rising growth pole in the central region.

Yueyang is the "North Gate" of Hunan Province. It is the only city along the Yangtze River, the largest water material transshipment base along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and Dongting Lake. The port economy such as shipping and logistics is relatively developed. It has 163 kilometers of "golden waterway" of the Yangtze River. Yueyang Area covers an area of 19.94 square kilometers, highlighting the port economy, building a comprehensive shipping logistics center in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and an inland port economic demonstration area.

Chenzhou City is the "South Gate" of Hunan Province, and also the forefront of the central region connecting Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. It is also one of the most direct and convenient channels for the Pearl River Delta industrial transfer into the central and western regions. Its nonferrous metal processing and gem processing industries are characteristic and advantageous industries. Chenzhou Area covers an area of 19.84 square kilometers, highlighting the direct connection between Hunan, Hong Kong and Macao, creating an important platform for inland regions to undertake industrial transfer and processing trade transformation and upgrading, and a demonstration area for cooperation between Hunan, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
