According to the file released by Ministry of Agriculture recently, Guiyang Furong Food Processing Zone was enrolled into the 3rd batch national demonstrations of agricultural industrialization. It was one of the 59 in the list.

It was introduced that Guiyang Furong Food Processing Zone was approved by Chenzhou Government in November 2009, which is one of the “one park and two zones” of Guiyang county and is mainly on food and pharmaceuticals processing. Currently, 25 agricultural products and pharmaceuticals processing enterprises have been settled down there (including 6 national and Hunan provincial agricultural leading enterprises). Over 2 billion yuan investments have been finished there and its annual output value have been amounted to 4 billion yuan, which would help to drive the development of more than 400,000mu agricultural products. It becomes the pioneering place of Guiyang county’s undertaking industrial transfer and processing trade, and a supplying base of advanced agricultural products for Guangdong- HK- Macau and Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan.
