It was reported that 2015 Hunan (Chenzhou) Agricultural Products Expo was opened in Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center on December 4, 2015. Dai Daojin, Vice Governor of Hunan Province, announced the opening of the expo. Deng Zhixi, Deputy Director of Agricultural Exhibition Center of the State Agriculture Ministry, attended the ceremony. Yi Pengfei, Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee, delivered an address on the ceremony. Qu Hai, Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City hosted the opening ceremony.

This expo is the first agriculture expo held by Chenzhou city. Followed the concept of "basing on Hunan, facing Guangdong and HK, displaying brands, operating by market", the theme of " displaying stereo-agriculture of Chenzhou city, marketing characteristic agricutural products of China", principal of "high standards, unique features, good quality, agriculture-oriented", and the target of " promoting modern agriculture and improving it by branding", 21 theme halls, 6 display zones, and 1152 standard stands were set in the 48,000 square-meters big area. It was purposely to forge an online trading platform for the agricultural expo by focusing on displaying and exchanging excellent, characteristic and brand agricultural products, achievements of agricultural technologies, and farming culture and negotiating projects, and playing the best roles of ideas and technologies of "internet+". Besides the agricultural products from some other places of Hunan province, Malaysia, India, Taiwan, and some other provinces of China as Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Sichuan, Chongqing, and etc. display their high quality agricultural products there as well. 858 exhibitors were attracted to attend the expo.

Yi Pengfei, Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee, stated that the diversified landforms and sound climate condition grant Chenzhou city with unique advantages on improving the characteristic agricultural industry. Currently, there are 171 municipal and above level agricultural leading companies. Grain & oil, tobacco, livestock & aquatic products, tea & fruit, and leisure agriculture have been improved to be "10-billion industry". Linwu duck, Dongjiang fish, Yongxing sweet orange, and some other agricultural products become famous brands nationwide. Thanks to the supports of Hunan Provincial Government and Hunan Government, the first Hunan Agricultural Products Expo was settled to be held in Chenzhou city. The expo is not just a platform to display the characteristic agricultural products, but also a sound chance for the improvement of modern agriculture. Assisted with the expo and exhibition, a new win-win space would be granted to all participants via closer communication, negotiation and cooperation. Chenzhou city would try all best to serve for this expo and handle it out to be a successful and fruitful agriculture expo.
