Chenzhou South Tower Park is located in South Tower Mountain in the South of the old town of Chenzhou City. Its planned area is 580 mu with the highest sea level of 270 meters, and is about 1.5 kilometers away from the downtown. With complete cultural heritages and sound ecological preservation, it is a municipal comprehensive park showcasing local history and folk culture.
The South Tower was completed in the Northern Song Dynasty at the latest, and is rebuilt in 1742 (the 7th year during Emperor Qianlong's Reign of Qing Dynasty), "The Jow of South Tower" has become one of the ancient eight views of Chenzhou City. In 1980, Chenzhou Municipal People's Government has listed it as the municipal key site of cultural relics under protection.
