The construction of Guiyang-Xintian Expressway was started in Xintian County, Yongzhou City on December 18. The expressway starts from Chonglingjiang Town, Chenzhou, and connects with the Guidong-Guiyang section of the expressway, and ends at Qingshuiqiao Town, Ningyuan County. It also connects with the existing Erenhot-Guangzhou Expressway.
It is a two-way 4-lane expressway and 58.045 km in total length, with a design speed of 120 km/h. Five interchanges are set along the whole line. The investment is estimated to be about 9.39 billion yuan, with a construction period of 3 years.
This project is a key expressway project of Hunan’s five-year plan for the development of modern comprehensive transportation system. It’s one of the main channels of Hunan to ASEAN countries, Beibu Gulf in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guangdong-Hong Kong- Macao Greater Bay Area.
Once completed, it will realize the direct connection between Chenzhou and Yongzhou, strengthen the status of Chenzhou and Yongzhou as an important transportation hub in Central and Southern China, and enhance the regional advantages of Chenzhou and Yongzhou as the the gateway of Hunan Province to the GBA, the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, and Hainan Free Trade Port.
