It was reported that Chenzhou stop of 2014 “Rucheng Hot Spring Cup” of “Four-nation Women’s Basketball Tournament” was closed on August 29, 2014. Chinese team was defeated by American team with the score of 79:88 and got the second place finally.

Lu Wen, Gaosong, Cheng Feng, Yang Liwei and Huang Hongpi made the starting line-up. 8 continuous errors occurred for the Chinese team, which helped American team gain 14 scores at the very beginning. Shao Ting came on later and helped Chinese team to win some scores back. The first quarter ended with the score of 16:18 that Chinese team fell behind the American team. In the following two quarters, Chinese team still not surpassed the American team and finally lost the game with the score of 79:88.

“It was ok to lose the game, but it was not acceptable to be lose with this way.” Tom Mach- the Coach of China Women’s Basketball Team said unhappily on the press conference afterward. He stated that the enhanced training would be carried out in following days after the team came back to Beijing. They would fight for the coming championship.

Concerned for the second game, Slovenia beat New Zealand with the score of 57:56 and won the third place in this tournament.
