The 3rd China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Show will be opened on May 21, 2015 in Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center, all the exhibitors and the museums of Chenzhou city were working hard on the exhibits arrangement. In recent days, the reporters visited the exhibition halls and presented some splendid previews of the mineral show to people.
First: fabulous“stone feast”
108 fabulous dishes as bear’s-paw, streaky pork, pearl fish ball, jemmy, bacon, and etc. were being displayed in Chenzhou Geological Resources Museum. But when reporters came closer, they found all were made of stones.
“The 108 dishes are Man-Han banquet worked out by our museum.”said Xia Guoping- the principal of Chenzhou Geological Resources Museum. Man-Han banquet was created from the catering culture of Qing Dynasty. All the dishes were almost made of local rare stones, just some of them were from Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, Xinjiang gobi desert, and etc. They interchanged the stones by their stones or bought from the collectors. Valuable and rare dishes and home-style dishes are available for the fabulous Man-Han banquet. The stones selected for the banquet are fine, smooth and colorful, which made reporters can’t help praising the magic of the nature.
Second: Tyrannosaurus bone fossil would be presented in Chenzhou city for the first time
Tyrannosaurus which is famous as“the king of dinosaurs” is universally accepted as one of the most rare dinosaurs. The tyrannosaurus bone fossil is as valuable as the most precious art, so the museums and collectors of the world are willing to pay million dollars to buy this fossil. Thanks to the mineral show, Taiwan Shishang Museum delivered its tyrannosaurus bone fossil to Chenzhou for the first time, which enabled Chenzhou people to see its real image.
In the second floor of Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center- the main hall of the mineral show, reporters found that this large tyrannosaurus bone fossil had been placed on the stand. It is about 12meters long and 5 meters high. In order to show the unique charm of the dinosaur, 2 small pterosaurs copied in proportion were placed beside the tyrannosaurus bone fossil. Some modern elements as autos were decorated there as well. The tyrannosaurus bone fossil would be placed together with some models as lion, leopard, dragon, and etc. on Zheng Jianrong Mineral Hall in the second floor of Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center.
Third: technology show on the World’s Non-ferrous Metals Museum
Where is the hall with best technological style in Chenzhou city? If you asked Chenzhou citizens for this kind of question in earlier days, they may not have good answer, but now they would say proudly:“it is the World’s Non-ferrous Metals Museum in Chenzhou High-tech Industrial Zone”.
After you walk across the water curtain, the World’s Non-ferrous Metals Museum which is “hidden”under water would grant you with a visual feast. 3pcs of“pyramid” screens are keeping displaying the introduction films of non-ferrous metals. In order to show the best image of Chenzhou city- “county of the world’s non-ferrous metals”, the staffs paid great attention on the details of design. In silver hall, interactive video facilities were installed there to show the most characteristic sustainable economic system of Chenzhou city and tell visitors the reasons why Chenzhou city was called as “silver city of China”. When you stepped into the wolfram hall which is with the theme of “the wolfram lighted up the world”, the golden light show would make you feel like being in science fiction film. 3pcs of LED display screens which were installed with the brief introduction, layout, smelting, and other knowledge of wolfram were set there, so visitors can get an overall knowledge of wolfram.
The most interesting parts of the museum are 5D cinema and experiencing exploration circular tracks. Some science fiction films will be showed in the 5D cinema that all audience can enjoy their time there. Visitors can go to the imitative mine caves by circular tracks and enjoy the fantastic geological world.
