Treasures of the world gather in Chenzhou city. In the morning of May 21, 2015, the 3rd China（Hunan）International Mineral & Gem Show was opened in Chenzhou city. It will last from May 21- may 25, 2015. Jiang Daming- Minister of the State Land and Resource Ministry and Chief Inspector of the State Owned Land and Du Jiahao- Deputy Secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Hunan Province were present at the opening ceremony and delivered speeches there. Chen Zhaoxiong- Member of Hunan Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Executive Vice Governor of Hunan Province hosted the ceremony. Yi Pengfei- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Dr. Robert Lavinsky of The Arkenstone (International) Mineral Crystal Company of America addressed speeches there as well. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City and some other leaders attended the ceremony.

China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Show is an exclusive mineral and gem show platform assigned to be held in Hunan province by the State Council and is one of the largest professional mineral and gem shows in Asia. The third mineral show was with the theme of “year of the city of mineral crystal city”, which was purposely to show the unique charm of Chenzhou“World’s Non-ferrous Metals Museum” and “mineral crystal city of China”by integrating Chenzhou city’s brand of exclusive“decoration stone mineral crystal city of China” with the platform effect of the mineral show and by popularity of geological knowledge and international communication.

The main hall of this mineral show was set in Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Show and three sub-halls were set in Chenzhou High-tech Industrial Zone’s Non-ferrous Metals Museum, Chenzhou Shizhuyuan National Mine Park Museum and Chenzhou Geological Museum. The total planned exhibition areas were 100,000square meters, including 2600 international standard stands and 8 exhibition zones as dinosaur Danxia reception zone, boutique mineral crystal zone, fossil and aerolite zone, boutique gem zone, jewelry and gem zone, decoration stone zone, root carving art zone, and etc.

As the host of this mineral show, Chenzhou city settled its place in some largest special stands of the second floor of the exhibition center. Hsianghualite and Tongtian jade of Linwu county, bournonite specimen of Yaogangxian, Yizhang county and some other treasures were being showed there. “Silver city-Yongxing county” also set a special stand for its silver products. 5 scientific investigation routes in Chenzhou Shizhuyuan National Mine Park, Baoshan National Mine Park, Dongjiang Lake Doulvyan, Wanhuayan, and Feitian Mountain National Geological Park were organized by the organization committee as well. The exhibitors and merchants can take field trips of geological and minerals science and join in the funny treasure hunting activities there as well.

Furthermore, summit forum, science forum, 2015 annual meeting of the Decoration Stone Association of eight provinces and regions of Lingnan area, symposium for investment attraction of Chenzhou gem industry, 2015 annual meeting of specialized committee of the State Land and Resource Museum, and other events would be carried out in this mineral show.

Du Jiahao stated on the opening ceremony that Hunan province would keep upgrading quality and improving service to promote the mineral show as top level international brand show. The sustainably successful holding of China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Show would be greatly helpful to promote the development of mineral gem industry of China and to promote Hunan province as a “sanctuary of the world natural heritages” and a “gathering place of mineral gem industry”.

Xiong Yu- Executive Consul-general of Mexico expressed the greetings of Mexico government on welcome the enterprises of Hunan province and Chenzhou city to place investment in Mexico. As a feast of communication of mineral and gem, the 3rd China（Hunan）International Mineral & Gem Show established a new platform for the cooperation of mineral and gem fields. He also expressed their wishes to provide good service to China’s mineral and gem enterprises and help them to find more cooperation opportunities on mineral and gem investment.

Yi Pengfei stated on his speech that it was a historical opportunity to upgrade Chenzhou image, expand opening up of Chenzhou city, enlarge the influence of Chenzhou city and promote internationalization and modernization of Chenzhou by holding the mineral show; it was a significant measure to improve exhibition economy, accelerate the construction of regional logistics hub city and logistics gathering place, promote the development of modern logistics, cultural tourism and fitness industry, and upgrade the quality and efficiency of resource-oriented industry by holding the mineral show; and it would help Chenzhou city’s resource-oriented industries to be with new breakthroughs on the extension of industrial china, upgrading of added-value and sustainable development, and upgrade Chenzhou city’s development to a new level fundamentally by holding the mineral show.
