It was from this April that the preparation work for the festival was started. And now everything is under schedule.

1. Joint working well handled

At the first step of starting the preparation work, Hunan provincial government and Chenzhou municipal government separately established high levels of provincial and municipal organization committee for the tourism festival and Zixing government established the tourism festival executive committee accordingly. All the three committees had good communication with each other for handling the preparation details. Meanwhile special teams for tourism festival were organized by Hunan Tourism Bureau, Chenzhou municipal government and Zixing government to figure out the responsibilities and carry out working measures.

2. Tourism festival general work plan drawn up

In accordance with the requirement of “ wonderful features, , better effectiveness” Hunan provincial and Chenzhou municipal organization committees widely consulted suggestions and issue the general work plan of the festival, making the careful arrangement to each specific job.

3. Preparation work carried out

In order to guarantee the success of festival, Yan Guangrong- Director of Hunan Tourism Bureau and some provincial leaders came to Chenzhou city and held a special scheduled meeting accordingly. Meanwhile, Chenzhou municipal leaders led the team to Zixing construction site to check the preparation work. From July 1, 2012, the countdown activity was fully implemented in the whole city. Furthermore, the invitation work plan for guests have been worked out and launched.

4. Propaganda work for the festival well launched

In order to make better propaganda for the festival, Chenzhou municipal tourism festival organization committee convoked a special propaganda work meeting and confirmed the propaganda work plan. One month prior to the opening of the festival, “poetic expression for poetic Dongjiang Lake” online promotion work will be carried out from Chenzhou government website and micro blog. The most poetic poet, song, painting, micro blog, propaganda slogan will be selected by the masses together with experts.
