The investment attraction conference of 2012 China Hunan international tourism festival & the 2nd China Chenzhou international leisure tourism and culture festival was held on September 12, 2012. It was learned that there were 91 projects amounted to 29 billion yuan settled at the conference.

Thanks to the special location, favorable policy, perfect infrastructure, and abundant resources, Chenzhou has became one of the first batch of processing trade gradient transfer undertaking destinations inaugurated by Commerce Ministry, the first pilot of Hunan province undertaking industry transfer, and national undertaking industrial transfer of south Hunan. In the recent three years, both of its annual average economy and fixed capital investment have increased,ranking first in Hunan province with the growth rate of 15.3% and 54.8% separately.

In the early eight months of 2012, the paid-in FDI of Chenzhou city hit 468 million dollars, up 10.4%, while the paid-in domestic capital amounted to 19.4 billion yuan, up 21.3%. Meanwhile, Chenzhou fulfilled international imports & exports with a total volume of 1.1 billion dollars and processing trade with 580 million dollars,up 34.2 % and 383.3% separately.

By seizing the chance of constructing the national demonstration area of undertaking industrial transfer of south Hunan, poverty alleviation through development of Luoxiao mountainous areas, and provincial demonstration belt of Chenzhou-Zixing-Guiyang two-oriented society, Chenzhou is now fighting for a new turn of great opening-up, construction and development. First, Chenzhou is accelerating the transfer development. Chenzhou will focus on the development of strategic industry to forge new nationwild famous material and electronic information product production and researching base, and will keep improving some traditional advantageous industries such as non-ferrous, energy, chemical engineering, construction material, tobacco, food, etc. to boost mineral capital economy and forge national non-ferrous fine processing and researching base. Second, Chenzhou is keeping opening wilder. Chenzhou will make the best use of favorable policies concerning demonstration area of undertaking industrial transfer of south Hunan to build the structure with great parks, logistics, scales and attract more advanced resources to gather in Chenzhou.

Third, Chenzhou is working hard on traffic construction. Concentrated with the target of establishing transportation junction among provinces, Chenzhou was planned to place 40 billion yuan investments on traffic construction to forge the “seven longitudinal and three transverse” traffic network and one-hour-drive traffic circle in city region within 3 years. Meanwhile, Chenzhou is positively establishing a national civilized city, national garden city and national sanitary city to eastalish a “city in the forest & city of leisure” within 3 years with 50 billion yuan investments on central city infrastructure construction.
