The selection activity was held to support the development of local Hunan cuisine industry in all regions and promote the development of agricultural brands and industries. Ten counties and cities, including Ningxiang City, Dong’an County, Wugang City, Jinshi City, Xinhua County, Xiangyin County, Nanxian County, Hongjiang District, Guiyang County, and Liling City, ranked among the top ten and were rated as the “Top Ten Famous Counties on Hunan Cuisine”.

 

 

 

Among them, in Guiyang, a “thousand-year-old county”, traditional cuisines such as Guiyang ratatouille, Guiyang steamed pork coated with rice flour, hot and sour chicken, Guiyang meatballs, pig feet with fermented glutinous rice, Qiaoshi dried bamboo shoots, and stuffed tofu are not only popular with the people, but also become an important part of “Chenpin Chenwei” (famous food brand in Chenzhou ).

 

Chenzhou has built advantageous characteristic industries mainly consisting of vegetables, citrus, tea, and swine to promote the high-quality development of agriculture in Chenzhou. 

 

In 2023, Guiyang County had the total grain area of 774,095 mu (about 51,606.33 hectares), accounting for 106.77% of the provincial and municipal tasks. At the same time, it has made efforts to accelerate the cultivation of new business entities, strengthen traditional industries such as tobacco and grain, and promote the upgrading of industries like vegetables, citrus, traditional Chinese medicine, and swine.
