The cloud-shrouded Feitian Mountain National Geological Park is just like a fairyland, with mists rising, going down, whirling and stretching.

 

 

 

Feitian Mountain National Geological Park, located in the Suxian District of Chenzhou City, is a typical Danxia landform and was rated as a national 4A scenic area. The Chenjiang River and Dongjiang River meet here, forming the well-known Cuijiang scenic belt. The scenic area includes mountains, rivers, forests, caves and stone Buddha temples. Feitian Mountain’s beautiful and unique scenery was highly praised by Xu Xiake, a famous traveler in ancient times.

 

 

The mountains are surrounded by waters, making it a combination of hardness and softness. The giant stones like figures, animals and objects are uncanny workmanship of nature. Taking advantage of the natural scenery, the scenic area built a love-themed tourism brand and Feitian Mountain has become a popular tourism destination.

 

 

Travelling in the scenic area, you will see rolling mountains and winding Cuijiang River. Looking at the mountains in the sea of clouds, you will find yourself more broad-minded.

 

 

Heart of Danxia is a heart-shaped meadow on the mountain top. A path traverses the meadow, as if the heart had been struck by Cupid's arrow. This nature wonder looks like manmade from a birds’ eye view. 

 

 

 

Sleeping Beauty is a typical human-shaped mountain. Standing on the small grassland from the side, the mountain is like a beauty, lying on the prairie.

 

 

 

The legend says that Juxiantai is the gathering place of the Eight Immortals. You can take a rest at Juxiantai when climbing the mountain, and you will find that “other mountains would seem to be smaller” .

 

 

A boat tour on the Cuijiang River offers visitors another angle to admire the scenic spots in Feitian Mountain, such as Lion Hill, hanging coffins, Shenxian Village and Tieding Village. May to October is the best season to enjoy sunrise and sunset scenery on the Cuijiang River.
